The UMOR project (Universal components for MOdular Robotics for Space, Industrial and Medical Applications) will enable research and development of new modular components and technological solutions for application in the collaborative precision robotic systems of the future for space, industrial and health applications.
To this end, a technology cluster of companies and research centres acting in partnership will enable the development of new mechatronic components, new sensors and advanced positioning systems and new technologies for data analysis and anomaly detection in critical environments.
Our Sener team in Aerospace will lead the UMOR consortium and develop compatible and interchangeable modular components for rapid reconfiguration of a precision collaborative robotic system based on the tasks to be performed.
Specifically, it will develop a new range or family of standard robotic modular interface where there are different applications such as mechanical, data, power or fluid interfaces, or their combination. In addition, it expects that the process of defining robotic components will be substantially improved.
A participation with which we expect to acquire important technological training that will allow us to work on new collaborative precision robotic systems with new mechatronic components, advanced sensors and positioning systems and technologies for data analytics and anomaly detection in critical environments.
The consortium is led by Sener and integrated by the companies Gestamp, Danobat, Fagor, Electrotécnica Alavesa and Gogoa Mobility Robots, and by research centres from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Fagor Aotek, Autotech engineering, Ideko and CEIT.
