Sener has carried out the conceptual design of two new Offshore Wind Farms (OWFs) in the Colombian waters. These farms will be based on floating solutions.
The projects include the Data Review, Site Characterisation, Offshore Engineering (including turbines, platforms, substations, cables and onshore-offshore design), Electrical design, Onshore engineering, Construction and Installation Assessment, O&M Strategy and Cost estimation Programme.
The Bergantín offshore wind project will be located between 10-35 km off the coast of the city of Santa Marta, within the Department of Magdalena, the Bergantín offshore wind project will include 55 turbines (825 MW). Pre-feasibility was obtained in August 2021, with 85% of the approvals from agencies required by DIMAR.
The Goleta offshore wind project will be located outside protected natural spaces and maritime traffic, in the bay of Santa Marta in front of the city of Santa Marta, department of Magdalena, with a distance from the coast between 5-27 km. Pre-feasibility was obtained in August 2021, with 85% of the approvals from agencies required by Dimar. This floating offshore wind farm will include 55 turbines.
