An integrated urban mobility project led by Sener’s engineering from its conception to its commissioning.

At Sener, we have been responsible for the comprehensive development of the Guadalajara Metro Line 3, from the pre-feasibility studies to the detailed design and project management during the construction phase. This railway line connects the municipalities of Zapopan, Guadalajara, and Tlaquepaque, significantly improving mobility in the metropolitan area.

The design process has been comprehensive, integrating all components and disciplines. This includes the railway systems, the layout of workshops and depots, the structural design of stations and viaducts, and the monitoring of the tunnel boring machine’s operations. As the machine tunnels beneath buildings of significant cultural and historical importance, such as the cathedral, it has demanded a specialised monitoring approach.
