- The mind behind the project

What inspired you to start a career in the space sector?
I took my first steps in the space industry while studying at the Warsaw University of Technology, at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering. It was thanks to my involvement in the Student Astronautical Association that I realized how fascinating spaceflight and satellite technologies could be. At that moment, I thought: “Why not give this field a try?”
What made you interested in Sener?
I learned about the job opportunity through messages shared in the student association. It happened shortly after Poland joined the European Space Agency, which further fueled my enthusiasm. It was the perfect moment to observe the development of the European space sector and actively take part in it.

In which business area do you operate, and what do you do daily?
I currently work as a project manager on projects related to space mechanisms. I am also involved in Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE), which helps me better understand the entire lifecycle of space systems, from development to operation.
What progress have you made since joining Sener? What are the most important projects you are currently working on?
I joined Sener Polska in 2014, and since then I have held successive roles as an engineer, a technical leader, and currently as a project manager. One of the most interesting experiences was working on HDRM (Hold-Down and Release Mechanism) and Deployment Mechanism projects, starting with the first project under the ESA Incentive Scheme, all the way to components currently operating in orbit as part of the Proba-3 mission. At present, I am involved, among others, in the EnVision SRS Boom project, which represents an important step in European exploration of Venus.
The biggest challenge for me today is balancing two important roles: being Tadek’s mom and working in the space sector.
What, in your opinion, distinguishes Sener from its competitors?
Sener has a very long history in the space industry – it has been active in it for over 50 years! This extensive experience and knowledge set the company apart and allow it to build a unique position in the international market.
What new challenges do you foresee in the coming years?
The biggest challenge for me today is balancing two important roles: being Tadek’s mom and working in the space sector. Sometimes it requires good organization and flexibility, but it is also very rewarding because I can develop professionally while enjoying time with my family.
