Securing pressure and flow in long-distance gas networks
In natural gas transport, compressor stations are essential to maintain the pressure required for gas to move safely and efficiently through thousands of kilometers of pipelines. At Sener, we design and deliver these facilities under full EPC scope, applying multidisciplinary expertise to guarantee safety, efficiency, and reliability. With decades of experience in energy infrastructures, we ensure that each station is tailored to network needs.
Our approach goes beyond installing turbo-compressors. By integrating digital controls, predictive maintenance, and redundancy systems, we turn compressor stations into resilient nodes that safeguard the entire network. This holistic vision reduces risks, extends equipment life, and ensures that gas transport systems remain stable under fluctuating demand and evolving market conditions
Sener’s leadership in gas infrastructure is based on consistent delivery of LNG terminals, cryogenic tanks, and distribution networks. That same engineering culture is applied to compressor stations, where precision in integration and performance is critical. We bring process, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering expertise to projects that must operate continuously and safely in demanding conditions.
Our methodology covers all phases of a project. In assessment, we analyze network demand, pipeline length, and regulatory frameworks. In design, we optimize compressor selection, station layout and, filtration systems.
Every facility integrates a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system connected to the central pipeline control network, ensuring secure monitoring and coordinated operation.
Implementation is carried out under turnkey EPC contracts with strict QA/QC across civil works, equipment installation, and automation. Once operational, we support clients with monitoring, predictive analytics, and upgrades that ensure efficiency and compliance throughout the lifecycle.
Each natural gas compressor station we deliver is equipped with advanced SCADA systems that provide real-time visibility and control. Over time, we integrate upgrades that enhance automation, reduce emissions, and prepare networks to handle hydrogen or renewable gas blends. This combination of digital intelligence and engineering excellence ensures that compressor facilities evolve alongside the energy transition.
We design and build natural gas compressor stations that incorporate turbo-compressors, filtration and metering systems, separators, electrical infrastructure, and auxiliary services.
